This week, David Beckham gives the term “influencer” a whole new meaning by handing over control of his Instagram account to a Ukrainian doctor. Iryna, a pediatric anesthesiologist and head of the regional perinatal center, shows the soccer star’s 71.8 million followers the conditions at her clinic in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, which has been under constant Russian fire for the past three weeks. Beckham also supports UNICEF, which apparently co-organizes the Insta stories from Kharkiv, with his Join 7: The David Beckham Fund, helping children and families affected by the conflict in Ukraine.
