Castore and Coral Eyewear have formed a new partnership and product collaboration, designed to enable both brands to expand their use of recycled materials. Through the collaboration, the companies have unveiled the Castore x Coral sunglasses, which are created with regenerated ocean waste. The sunglasses are made with Econyl regenerated nylon, an innovative material obtained from waste that would otherwise pollute the Earth, such as fishing nets and fabric scraps from all over the world. This material is also said to reduce the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90 percent as compared to material from oil. The new eyewear was designed by experts in London and Edinburgh with a “performance-based lifestyle in mind,” said Coral. The new sunglasses also feature scratch-resistant and UV-protective lenses.
