ClimatePartner is expanding its international market presence with a country office in Italy, and it is planning to open other foreign branches in France, Sweden, Spain and the U.S. Based in Munich, the company has already established offices in Austria, Switzerland, the U.K. and the Netherlands. Its services range from the calculation of carbon footprints and the process of climate neutralization to the setting of scientifically based CO² reduction targets, and the initiation of certified climate protection projects and activities in the field of green energy.

Under the leadership of Giorgio Bertolini, a team will be set up at an office in Milan to build and expand the company’s business with new and existing clients in Italy. ClimatePartner’s past and present clients in the sporting goods sector include Löffler, Sympatex, Unterwegs and Ziener.

Bertolini reports that emissions of C0² currently stand at 7.3 tons per capita in Italy. “This is well below the 11 tons calculated for Germany, for example, but still many times higher than the slightly more than 1 ton that we theoretically have available globally as a CO² budget per capita.” With the help of ClimatePartner’s climate protection solutions, Italian companies will in future be able to join the fight against climate change by offering their products with the internationally recognized “climate neutral” label.
