eBay has announced the global expansion of its Circular Fashion Fund (CFF). The $1.2 million fund will help innovative fashion startups scale circular solutions through 2025. Initially launched in the UK in 2022, the fund has backed initiatives that support sustainable fashion practices, such as recycling and repair services, and will now reach new markets, including the US and Germany, in partnership with fashion councils in each region.

“The Circular Fashion Fund is a catalyst for collaboration by combining the global scale and power of established companies like eBay with the creativity and innovation of nimble start-ups,” said Kirsty Keoghan, eBay’s Global GM of Fashion. “Together, we’re making a positive impact on the circular economy and truly reshaping the future of fashion.”

The expanded program offers over 200 hours of mentoring and networking opportunities, with each regional winner receiving funding to boost their circular solutions. Additionally, eBay Ventures will select one business from among global finalists as the “Circular Fashion Innovator of the Year,” awarding them an additional $300,000 investment.

Applications are open until Nov. 15, 2024. For more information, visit eBay’s Circular Fashion Fund website.
