Icebug is the latest global partner of Protect Our Winters (POW). The Swedish shoe producer, known for its spiked after-ski boots, has a long-standing commitment to sustainability, whether it’s switching from petrochemical to algae foam, changing fabric dyeing processes, eliminating air freight or installing solar power in the factories that make its products. Icebug is also a leader in reducing its Scope 1, 2 and 3 CO2 emissions. Combined with an ambitious offset program for emissions that cannot yet be reduced, Icebug has been carbon-negative since March 2019 and says it continues to work daily to reduce its negative impact.
Here is the link to a 20-minute video of a conversation between Joel Lundberg, Swedish director of POW, and Icebug’s CEO, David Ekelund, recorded last autumn in the forest behind Icebug’s headquarters in Gothenburg.
