Improving the recyclability of products is one of the goals Puma has set out in its sustainability report, as is a reduction in its carbon footprint. As part of the evolution of the company’s strategy, the German brand has now partnered with materials provider Sympatex to develop and use more circular and recycled fabrics in Puma’s collections, especially in running and outdoor products. In 2021, Puma already expanded the use of recycled polyester to 55 percent in its apparel products as part of its strategy to use 75 percent recycled polyester in its apparel and accessories by 2025. The partnership with Sympatex will focus on an innovative sustainable approach to technical and recycled polyester-based materials and products.
