Daiwa Seiko’s net income reached ¥1.69 billion (€11.1m-$14.5m) in its 1st half ended Sept. 30, on revenues that grew by about 17 percent to ¥31.27 billion (€204.5m-$267.9m). Operating income was up by 6 percent to ¥3.38 billion (€22.1m-$29.0m). The Japanese fishing equipment and sporting goods company is projecting its full-year sales to increase by 10 percent to ¥58.0 billion (€379.3m-$496.9m) and net income to rise by 18 percent to ¥2.10 billion (€13.7m-$18.0m).
