Sporting goods retailer and manufacturer Decathlon Germany has launched the “Auf die Plätze“ (“On your marks”) campaign and is going on a tour titled “EntDecA” (a play on words with the German word “Entdecker” for “explorer” and Decathlon) throughout April. The EntDecA mobile invites children in the greater Munich, Berlin and Cologne areas to central city spots or in front of selected Decathlon stores to prove their skills in sporty and playful challenges. The campaign’s partner is the academy of former German national soccer player Toni Kroos. Little soccer fans can register on the Decathlon website to win one of the coveted spots at the Toni Kroos Academy coaching day camp or even meet the soccer player in person. In addition, the “Auf die Plätze“ campaign focuses on the product categories mobility (bikes, scooters, inline skates), racket sports (table tennis, badminton), leisure games (trampoline, archery) and horseback riding, as well as matching accessories and protective equipment.
