Decathlon has announced the opening of a new logistics center in León, Spain, in the industrial estate of Villadangos del Páramo. The 32,645-square-meter facility, which has a distribution capacity of more than 25 million sporting items per year, will be serving the 37 Decathlon stores located in the north of Spain. The facility will also operate as an online pick-up point. The building features a number of eco-friendly solutions, including LED lighting, photovoltaic panels, roof systems and skylights that provide maximal natural light, and reinforced insulation systems, to avoid energy loss. It also features parking spaces for electric cars.
