Decathlon has opened its 177th store in Spain, this time in Cáceres, an autonomous community of Extremadura, according to CMDsport and Tradesport. The store appears to be a moved Decathlon City from the same general location. The company operates four stores in Extremadura.
Located at the Way Cáceres mall, the new store spreads over 2,500 sqm and employs 30. Its selection covers some 150 sports – mountain sports, running and fitness being the local favorites. In addition to its usual business hours, it will be open the first Sunday of every month and every Sunday in December.
Among the services on offer are “Second Life,” in which customers can buy and sell second-hand items; product repair and maintenance at an in-store shop; and a one-hour click-and-collect option for customers. Also available is a subscription rental program, initiated in 2022, that extends to products and ancillary services.
The store is lit with LEDs and, under ideal conditions, can generate 30 KWp with its solar panels. The parking lot has chargers for electric vehicles and spaces for bicycles.
