Decathlon Italy has announced a partnership with Milano Premier Padel P1 through its brand Kuikma. The tournament is scheduled to take place on Dec. 5-11 at the Allianz Cloud in Milan. Premier Padel is the official worldwide pádel circuit under the International Pádel Federation (FIP), supported by Professional Players Association (PPA) and Qatar Sports Investments (QSI). According to a survey conducted by Decathlon, there are currently around 500,000 padel players in Italy, as compared to two million tennis players, but padel has great potential in the country. In 2021, Decathlon’s sales of padel products increased by 200 percent from the previous year, and two Italian stores ranked in the world’s top ten in terms of padel revenues, the company said in a statement.
