The expansion of the Decathlon store in Cologne-Marsdorf, which first opened in 2017, to a total of 8,500 square meters (bigger than a football field) has been completed. The remodeling created new indoor test areas with, among other things, space for a golf simulator, a camping showroom with all available tents, and the presentation of numerous fitness equipment and training zones for the sports of soccer and basketball. The store is now the largest of the French sporting goods retail chain in Germany. The official opening of the expanded location is on March 10-12. Cologne is one of five focus cities for Decathlon Germany.
