Deportes Sevilla, an important regional sporting goods retail chain, has joined Base Detall Sport, the Spanish buying group that recently joined Sport 2000 International. As CMD Sport reports, the deal bolsters Base's presence in Andalusia and establishes it for the first time in the autonomous community's capital, Seville. Founded in 1994, Deportes Sevilla has five stores in Seville proper and another two in the Andalusian towns of Utrera and Los Bermejales. A bigger sports retailer with more than 50 stores in the region, Deportes Blanes, joined Base two years ago and opened its first store under the Base banner in a shopping center of Almería a few weeks ago.
