Descente posted a loss of 95 million yen (€922,760-$1.2m) for the first quarter ended June 30, compared with a net profit of ¥14 million in the year-ago period, when it benefited from tax adjustments. Sales grew by 4.4 percent to ¥17.2 billion (€167.1m-$219.2m) in the quarter, and the gross margin improved by 2.6 percentage points to 50.2 percent.
