Dorel Industries has sold the Sugoi and Sombrio brands to Louis Garneau Sports. For Garneau, this strategic acquisition is meant to reinforce its positioning on the West Coast of both Canada and the U.S. while providing opportunities for growth in Asia and Western Europe. Garneau will keep the sales and marketing operations as well as product design for Sugoi and Sombrio in Vancouver. Meanwhile, the rest of the activities will move to the head office of Louis Garneau Sports in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec. Garneau, whose products are sold in more than 50 countries, also operates a distribution center in Derby, Vermont, as well as a factory in Mexico and a procurement and sourcing office in China.
