Electronic Arts (EA), the global specialist in digital interactive entertainment, has revealed that EA Sports FIFA 23 will feature women’s club teams for the first time with the inclusion of the Barclays Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema, the highest divisions of women’s football in England and France, respectively. Additionally, fans will have for the first time the opportunity to play both the men’s and women’s FIFA World Cups in the same game, with FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023. EA recently unveiled Kylian Mbappé and Sam Kerr as cover athletes for EA Sports FIFA 23. Kerr thereby becomes the first female athlete to feature solo on the standard edition of the videogame. Sam Kerr plays as a forward for Chelsea FC, and has been the captain of the Australia Women’s National Team since 2019. She is also the only female player to have won the Golden Boot in three different leagues on three continents. Headquartered in Redwood City, California, EA posted net revenues of approximately $7 billion in its fiscal year 2022.
