El Corte Inglés, VF Corp., Li & Fung and PVH have agreed to start sourcing their apparel products from Azim Group in Bangladesh after the company agreed to negotiate with workers' unions at two of its 24 factories in the country. As reported by The New York Times, Azim will allow union officials to return to work and will pay the medical bills of a union leader who was beaten in an outburst of violence on Nov. 10. VF and other clients suspended their orders after the episode. Azim said it would punish four managers involved in the incident but did not provide other details.
