Engo Eyewear, a specialist in connected eyewear for endurance athletes, has introduced the Engo 2, described as “the lightest and most technologically advanced eyewear created specifically for endurance athletes.” It features Engo’s ActiveLook 2.0 technology, designed to give users greater ability to customize the data projected into their field of view based on what is most useful to them, according to the company’s description. The glasses eliminate the need for athletes to slow down to look at a watch or cycling computer as its touchless gesture control makes it easy to toggle between custom data screens by waving a hand in front of the lens while on the move. Also, Engo 2 can be used for 10-12 consecutive hours before being recharged, the company claims. It weighs just 36 grams for the standard size, making it the lightest head-up display (HUD) on the market, according to the brand. It is currently available for pre-order and expected to ship later this summer.
