Entities related with the German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and Net-A-Porter have agreed to cease sales of a Lagerfeld branded casual footwear line following a settlement with New Balance Athletic Shoe. A statement says they acknowledge the trademark and trade dress rights that New Balance claims to have on their design. The settlement, whose terms are confidential, puts an end to the lawsuit filed by New Balance in a New York court on June 3, where it challenged in particular the stylized K logo found on some Lagerfeld sneakers introduced in the market in April, arguing that it's similar to its iconic N logo.
