Erima reports stable sales of €14 million in the first quarter of 2017, as compared to the first quarter of 2016, citing very restrained demand in the team sports market. The German brand of team sports products had recorded a sales increase of 19 percent in the first quarter of 2016, as compared to the same period of the previous year. Football is still the most successful segment for the brand, but the company says that athletics, running and tennis show great potential for further growth. Erima is currently investing in a big advertising campaign, including TV commercials, print advertising as well as sales support in the stores. The brand belonged to Adidas from 1976 until 2005, when its former and current chief executive, Wolfram Mannherz, took it over.
