EssilorLuxottica and Moncler have announced the signature of an exclusive licensing agreement for the design, production and global distribution of Moncler-branded eyewear, including eyeglasses and sunglasses. The agreement will be in effect from January 2024 until December 2028 with an automatic renewal option for five more years, and the first Moncler Lunettes collection under the new partnership will be available from September next year, the announcement reads. The collections will be available at Moncler boutiques, the Moncler e-commerce website, EssilorLuxottica-owned stores and selected opticians. EssilorLuxottica said it would decide about the development of a line of goggles at a later stage.

The Moncler eyewear collections have been licensed to Marcolin since 2015. In 2020, the partners announced the extension of the agreement until the end of 2025. Our sister publication Eyewear Intelligence has contacted Marcolin for comments regarding the early termination of the license.
