Eurobike enjoyed a buoyant 20th anniversary, as nearly 1,200 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors from over 100 countries thronged to the bike fair in Friedrichshafen earlier this month – about the same as the previous year. The organizers had increased the space dedicated to the fair by using the Zeppelin hall adjacent to the fairgrounds, as well as tents in the outdoor areas. Order-taking was somewhat obstructed by unsold stocks of assembled bicycles in Europe but the fair was again brimming over with innovations, particularly targeted at the electric bicycle market. Eurobike welcomed more than 20,000 consumers on its open day on Saturday.
