Eurobike will add a second day open to the public in 2016, in view of the European consumers' growing interest in bicycles. Messe Friedrichshafen, which organizes the trade show, made the announcement on Aug. 29, at the closing of this year's edition. In 2016 the event will be held from Wednesday, Aug. 31 through Sunday, Sept. 4. The weekend will be dedicated to consumers while the first three days are reserved for trade visitors. Next year's will be the 25th edition of the show. In addition, the Eurobike Demo Day, which until now was held the day before the trade show, will be integrated as a permanent part of the show, to enhance product testing opportunities for both trade visitors and consumers.

This year's show attracted 45,870 trade visitors from 103 countries, slightly down from the 2014 total of 46,300. Another 20,730 consumers attended on Saturday, slightly down from 21,100 last year. The event hosted 1,350 exhibitors from 53 countries.
