Red Bull is sponsoring an unusual padel tournament in Spain. The Red Bull Padel Dash is open to male and female amateurs and is played on four courts simultaneously. The first doubles pair to score ten points wins and presses a button, which produces a sound and brings all four matches to a stop. The tournament then proceeds from there.
The qualifying rounds, already underway, are set for Madrid, Catalonia and the Levante (Mediterranean Spain) through October but will perhaps extend into November, as several are not yet scheduled. There will be 16 clubs competing per region. Qualifying pairs and wildcards will meet in the final, scheduled for Marbella on Nov. 23.
The champions will win tickets to the Premier Padel finals, which will be held in Barcelona in December.
