Exceeding its previously set targets, Nike has spent $380 million to expand its world headquarters in Portland, Oregon, hiring more than 2,000 new employees there, according to the Portland Business Journal. The Swoosh had made a deal with the state of Oregon three years ago to avoid paying tax on products sold outside the state on condition that it would spend at least $150 million and create at least 500 jobs.
