The sports performance brand 100% has announced the appointment of a new leadership team to support the company’s accelerated growth in eyewear. In addition, the brand launched its first collection of snow products. Gwen van Lingen has joined 100% as vice-president of global marketing and sales for the eyewear and snow category. Van Lingen is a former Olympic finalist who competed in track & field in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. She has also been in the eyewear industry for 20 years, most recently working for Oakley for 15 years. Her areas of expertise include brand, product, go-to-market, sports marketing and omnichannel sales. In addition, the company has hired TJ Bottom as global head of product marketing & GTM eyewear & snow, while Matthew Davis will join 100% as director of sales for eyewear & snow. Finally, Liam Barrett has joined the company to build the new snow channel as snow category director. This autumn, 100% will launch its first collection of snow goggles. Based in San Diego, California, 100% is an independent premium sports brand with a focus on performance eyewear, technical apparel, and sports protection. Its roster of athletes includes seven-time Tour de France green jersey winner and three-time road cycling world champion, Peter Sagan, among others.
