Authentic Brands Group (ABG), the owner of a wide range of lifestyle and fashion brands including Airwalk, Prince, Reebok, Spyder, Tretorn and Volcom, has announced that Kiyoshi Nakamura is joining the company to help develop new business in the Asia Pacific region and Europe. Nakamura is a seasoned sports and entertainment industry executive based in Japan and brings valuable insight and a wealth of experience in global marketing and broadcast management to ABG. He will create business development opportunities for the company’s brands as it continues to diversify its portfolio and increase its focus on expansion in Japan and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Nakamura has spent nearly four decades in various executive roles, most recently as senior vice president at global marketing and advertising agency Dentsu Inc. where he was instrumental in acquiring the marketing, broadcast and hospitality rights for the Olympic Games, Rugby World Cup, FIFA World Cup and Asian Games. He also secured the purchase of one-third of leading NFL agency Athletes First in 2015 and was instrumental in raising more than $3 billion from local sponsorships for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. A valuable advisor, Nakamura also served as a board member at sports subscription video streaming service DAZN from 2018 to 2021
