Alistair Cameron, the experienced sporting goods industry executive who served most recently as CEO of Asics EMEA until November 2019, is joining Sports Shoes, the U.K.-based athletic footwear e-tailer, as non-executive director. The British executive spent 35 years in the industry. He joined Asics in 2009 after working for a couple of years at Clarks. He previously ran Speedo International and served as managing director of New Balance EMEA. Launched in 1982 by a former football player, Bruce Bannister, Sportshoes.com offers more than 17,000 products from 149 brands. Its sales for the seven months through September were said to have been broadly in line with the performance reached for the financial year ended last Feb. 28, when they amounted to £92.2 million (€107.9m-$122.0m).
