Tim Wiese, in charge of the e-commerce activities of Sport 2000 GmbH (a subsidiary of ANWR Media GmbH), will be appointed to the management of ANWR Media by the ANWR Group’s executive board on Oct. 1. He will lead the company together with Michael Decker.

“The relevance of online trade is continuously increasing within the ANWR Group of Companies,” says Matthias Grevener, responsible board member of ANWR Group. “We are therefore very pleased that Tim Wiese complements the management of ANWR Media with his many years of experience.”

Wiese and his team have just converted the e-commerce site sport2000.de to a new infrastructure, installing a modular platform based on the principles of the MACH (microservice-based, API-first, cloud-native and headless) architecture. The new system allows more flexible and faster customization. According to a company release, the same platform will be going into schuhe.de in the future. Tim Wiese will remain responsible for managing the e-commerce activities of Sport 2000 GmbH, also a wholly owned subsidiary of ANWR Group.

Another new addition to ANWR Media is Timo Schaab (38), who will be responsible for the further development of the marketplace control tool Qualibet. He succeeds Martin Baumgartner, who is taking on a new challenge in another industry.
