Aqualung Group, which owns four brands in the “blue outdoor” business (Aqualung, Apeks, Omer and Aquasphere), has named Bruno Cercley, former chairman of the Rossignol Group, as chairman of its supervisory board. He begins the new position on July 1. Cercley will be in charge of uniting Aqualung’s global teams with the goal of providing innovative equipment to the growing diving and watersports community.
Based near Nice, France, Aqualung initiated a transformation plan in 2020 designed to unite its brands, organize its production sites, and reinforce its support, commercial and innovation within its R&D segment. The company currently employs 850, with an annual turnover of almost €200 million and production sites in France, the U.K., Italy, and Mexico.
“I am very happy to have the opportunity to contribute to Aqualung’s future, whose DNA is very close to that of Rossignol,” Cercley said in a prepared statement. “The business requires a change of scale and optimizations of all key processes, including those of supply chain,” he added.
Cercley, who led the Rossignol group between 2008 and 2021, remains a member of its supervisory board.
