Betterguards Technology – a start-up headquartered in Berlin whose “safety belt for joints” can be incorporated into athletic supports and shoes – has hired Jocelyn Robiot to be its chief executive. The company’s founder, Vinzenz Bichler, is stepping down from the post to become chief technology officer. Robiot has spent the past 16 years with Adidas, most recently as senior vice president of marketing. He also spent eight years as a non-executive member of Hi-Media’s board of directors and another eight years as an account manager at Havas Sports & Entertainment. Betterguards is planning a new round of financing from new investors in the coming months. Robiot will be taking a stake in the company.
