Chris Hammann

A sporting goods industry expert, Chris Hammann, has jumped on board at K2 Sports starting Aug. 1, taking over the role of country manager for Germany at the K2 Sports office in Penzberg near Munich. He succeeds Karsten Möhrer, who has left K2 to join Eschenbach Optik in Nuremberg, Germany, as sales director for eyewear. Hammann moves to K2 after several sales and marketing positions at Head, Vista Outdoor, Red Bull (where he was responsible for international sports marketing) and a seven-month intermezzo as market manager for Atomic within the Amer Sports group. He is already familiar with K2 from his time on the brand’s athletes roster: During his time as an active skier, Hammann was part of the ambassador team of K2 Skis. The state-certified ski instructor and guide holds a degree in sports science and has a passion for winter sports. As country manager, he will be in charge of K2 Sports’ multi-brand portfolio in Germany.
