As of Nov. 1, Mammut has a new chief commercial officer in Felix Münnich. This marks the continuation of the personnel restructuring at Mammut. CEO Heiko Schäfer, CFO Wilhelm Matheson and CPO Paul Cosgrove have been on board only since the middle of this year.

Münnich comes from Nike and brings 18 years of experience in the sports and consumer goods industry, particularly in the areas of strategy and retail. He replaces interim CCO Simon Mørdre.

At Nike, Münnich most recently held the position of VP online stores for EMEA. With his hiring, Mammut seeks to strengthen its DTC business in particular: “Mammut is a unique brand with a great history and an unparalleled value proposition to all those who are drawn to the mountains. It is a great privilege to be given the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of this business. I look forward to working with our strong commercial team. We will expand our DTC presence and, most importantly, strengthen our strong B2B partnerships to serve our customers and mountain sports enthusiasts,” Münnich said upon joining the company.

CEO Schäfer: “With over 18 years of experience in the sports and consumer goods industry, Felix is an absolute commercial expert. I am convinced that Felix will use all his energy and expertise to grow our business across all sales channels. I am very grateful that Simen Mørdre, our previous CCO ad interim, is handing over a strong and dedicated team to him.”

Mammut operates in around 40 countries and employs approximately 800 people. Conzzeta, a conglomerate, had sold Mammut to British private equity firm Telemos Capital in the summer of 2021. According to the company, sales in 2020 were €227 million.
