Robert van de Kerkhof will join the Board of Directors of HeiQ plc as a Non-Executive Director with effect from Jan. 1, 2024. He will also become Chairman of the Environmental, Occupation, Health & Safety and Sustainability Committee and join the Board of HeiQ AeoniQ Holding AG (in Switzerland), a subsidiary of HeiQ plc.
Van de Kerkhof has more than 30 years of experience in general management and sustainability, as well as extensive knowledge of the textile industry, including cellulosic fiber technology. He founded Pepper-i2, a consultancy specializing in sustainability and circular economy, and has been serving as Chief Sustainability Officer and member of the Management Board of Lenzing AG since 2014. Van de Kerkhof will leave Lenzing and the Management Board on Dec. 31, 2023. In the past, he has also held senior positions as President of the Austrian Fiber Institute, President and Board Member of CIRFS (European Manmade Fibers Federation) and Chairman of the ReHubs Business Council for Euratex, the voice of the European apparel and textile industry.
