Nanna Hedlund will take up the post of chief executive of Casall Sport on Aug. 17. She was previously the CEO of Polarn O. Pyret, a Swedish quality kidswear brand with sales all over Europe and also in the U.S. Hedlund has been on Casall’s board since 2108. She takes over as CEO from the company’s founder, Carl-Axel Surtevall , who has held the post on an interim basis since Jon Lööf left in September last year.

Casall is a major supplier of fitness clothing and equipment, based in Sweden. A press release says that the new CEO is expected to double the turnover of the company in the next few years. Casall had slightly higher sales of 224.3 million Swedish kronor (€21.4m-$24.1m) in the past financial year, but the operating profit (Ebit) declined to SEK 2.24 million (€0.21m-$0.24m) from SEK 3.1 million. Net earnings went down to SEK 2.60 million (€0.25m-$0.28m) from SEK 3.3 million.
