Stockholm-based Everysport Group AB announced that it has appointed Michael Hansen as its new chairman of the board. The previous chairman, Paul Fischbein, left the position and the company earlier this month due to his new position at the Swedish DTC outdoor brand Revolution Race, which was incompatible with his role on the Everysport Group board.

Hansen has more than twenty years of experience in founding, building and investing in growth companies. One of the companies Hansen has founded is the fintech company Capcito Finance AB, which was acquired by Fortnox AB in December 2021. He is a former partner and member of the sports and gaming information company Daytime Media House, which was acquired by Everysport Group in 2016. Hansen has been a member of Everysport Group’s board of directors since 2016. “Everysport has a very exciting portfolio of brands and services in the sports area. I look forward to steering Everysport Group together with the board and management towards long-term profitability and growth,” Hansen said in a statement.

Everysport Group is divided into two business units: Everysport Media and Every Padel. Everysport Media owns and develops digital platforms and services in the sports sector, and the Every Padel division is active in the fast-growing padel sport. The group employs a total of around 160 people and is listed on the Spotlight Stock Market. In early October, Everysport Group canceled an agreement to acquire 100 percent of the shares of another Swedish company, Padel Panorama.
