Vans has appointed Kristin Harrer as chief marketing officer. Described by the company as a “true brand expert in digital and direct to consumer experiences,” Harrer held senior marketing positions in the last four years at Samsung Electronics and the Dollar Shave Club of Los Angeles. Prior to that, she worked for Nike in marketing and “global consumer knowledge” for four years, after a stint with the NBA and nearly four years spent at the Portland, Oregon office of Wieden + Kennedy, the international advertising agency.
