Intersport International Corp. (IIC), which has big ambitions in this area (more on this soon), has appointed Katja Adrienne Erbe as its new General Manager EB Commercial, taking over responsibility for Intersport’s exclusive brands from Jessica Mair from the month of March.

After working for the Adidas Group for 19 years, Erbe joined IIC in 2018, occupying various functions such as European general manager for The Athlete’s Foot, supporting various category management projects for Intersport and, since April 2019, serving as head of category management for Intersport in Germany and Austria.

At the Adidas Group, she had been assuming growing responsibilities in various functions and at various locations. She became head of global channel manager in 2010, with a focus on franchising. She was then appointed in 2013 as senior brand director for Reebok in the German-speaking countries, and in 2016 as senior sales director for Eastern Europe.

In thanking Mair for the “great job” she has done at IIC, IIC noted that its exclusive brands have generated over-proportional growth rates in the sell-in for the autumn/winter 2022 season, with “higher efficiency and effectiveness throughout the assortment paired with elevated design, sustainability and marketing initiatives.” Mair has held the position since the end of 2019, after joining IIC in February 2018 as global outdoor category director. She previously worked for Adidas, Mammut and Arc’teryx.
