Becca Huyard has been named Vice President of Finance and Accounting for Peak Ski Company, headquartered in Bozeman, Montana. Huyard most recently served as Peak’s Director of Accounting. She will report directly to the company’s co-founder Andy Wirth and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management and reporting, including key aspects of financial planning and analysis. Her other responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of Peak Ski’s accounting function, including reporting, processes and systems, as well as payroll and inventory management.
In addition, Darrin Haugen has been appointed Chief Product Officer. He has more than 25 years of design and engineering experience, having worked for Boeing’s supersonic transport aircraft research and development program and then for K2 Sports, where he led design and engineering for several product lines, including K2 skis and boots, line skis and Full Tilt ski boots. Most recently, he worked in advanced product research and development at Sitka Gear, an outdoor company based in Bozeman. Haugen will also report directly to Wirth and will have responsibility for all aspects of the company’s product, material and process design and innovation. As a key member of the company’s leadership team, he will also play a central role in the development and implementation of the company’s strategic initiatives.
Peak Ski Company was jointly launched by Wirth and former ski racer Bode Miller in April 2022. After a successful first year of operations, the company has since further developed and expanded its leadership team.
