Without waiting for a new owner, Reebok has announced the appointment of Pertia Blunt as its new vice president of apparel, replacing Barbara Ebersberger who is now with the Adidas brand. Blunt has been with New Balance for 13 years, serving most recently as director of apparel operations. She was a member of the Diversity Council at New Balance, where she led the team that designed the brand’s first capsule collection for Black History Month, launched in January. At Reebok, Blunt will report to Todd Krinsky, Reebok’s senior vice president of global product. Blunt began her career in apparel design with the U.S. Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia, where she was responsible for designing men’s and women’s uniforms. She holds a degree from Virginia Tech in apparel and textiles with an emphasis on apparel design.
