UK online retailer SportsShoes.com has announced 10 new appointments to its brand marketing, social media and design teams to support its continued growth and development strategy.
Maryse Haynes is joining the company as Marketing Coordinator from sports and mountain apparel brand Inov-8, where she was Head of Marketing. She previously represented Team GB at the European Cross Country Championships and was part of the U23 team that won a silver medal in 2014.
Erika Carter and Katie Brown have both been recruited as senior marketing executives. Brown joins from Pro:Direct Sport and runs an Instagram account dedicated to running.
Nigel Hockin joins SportsShoes.com as Social Media Manager from digital marketing agency Nano Interactive. He is a dedicated trail and road runner and brand ambassador for Salomon Running. He is joined by social media manager Anna Dugdale.
The design team will be joined by senior designer Jacob Warr, who joins from e-commerce software company Visualsoft. Warr, who has cystic fibrosis, recently raised £9,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust by sponsoring his first half marathon after taking up running in 2022. He is joined by digital designer Eloise Foy, who previously worked at Great Rail Journeys, and videographer and content creator Ellis Dagnall. Hannah Greenwood and Thomas McDonald have been recruited as e-commerce assistant and marketing design intern respectively.
Founded in 1982, the online retailer offers more than 17,000 products from 150 global running and outdoor brands. In the running segment, these are Asics, Nike, Adidas, Hoka and New Balance, while in the outdoor segment, they are Haglöfs, Mammut, Rab and Patagonia.
