TheDrop.com, a Las Vegas-based online lifestyle marketplace that targets Millennials and Gen Z, has hired Scott Keating to fill the new post of chief merchandising officer. He will be managing relations with the 300-odd brands and retail shops that sell through the company, including Nike, Roxy, Supreme and Volcom.
.Keating was most recently director of business development and branding at Tactics, a skate- and snowboarding retailer. He has also served as director of sales and marketing for Snowboarder Magazine. The bulk of his experience consists of nearly 17 years with Nike, where he was director of global sales and business development. He developed a snowboarding boot before the sportswear giant shuttered the Nike Snowboarding division.
TheDrop went through a Series A round of funding in August 2021. It hosts about 300 product drops per week and says that repeat customers now account for 34 percent of monthly gross merchandise value (GMV).
