Expo Sports, the running fair held around the Barcelona marathon, attracted a record number of more than 62,000 visitors this year, making it the largest running fair in Spain. This is partly because runners had to get to the fair in order to pick up their bibs. The exhibition area saw more than 150 stands featuring leading brands in the running, triathlon and trail categories. The number of visitors was also pushed up by conferences and other activities held around the event, such as the Pasta Party by Aramark, where about 2,800 plates were served. More than 20,000 people took part in the Barcelona marathon on March 13. The event was sponsored by Asics.
