Fashion for Good has welcomed twelve new start-ups to its global platform. The selected innovators will participate in the nine-month 2023 Innovation Program, with bespoke support based on the development stage and ambitions of each participant, to validate their technologies, match with relevant industry partners and drive implementation and investing activities across the fashion value chain.
Of the twelve, which represent technologies across raw materials, processing, traceability & transparency, circular business models and end of use, several are of particular interest to the sporting goods industry:

Polybion (Spain): A premium alternative to animal-based leather and petroleum-derived synthetics

Saltyco (U.K.): Its next-generation textile BioPuff is a warm, lightweight and biodegradable insulation material made from one of the best plants for wetland regeneration

Lamoral Coatings (The Netherlands): Who have commercialized a high-performance, bio-based, fluor-free coating to replace PFAs coatings

Quingdao Amino Material Technology (Re:lastane) (China): Re:lastane focuses on the separation and recycling of polyester and polyester blended fabrics

Ioncell (Finland): Developers of patented Ioncell technology, which transforms cellulosic bio-materials into new, high-performance textile fibers in a sustainable way

Satma CE (India): A web-based software that uses blockchain optionally to offer traceability across the waste-to-worth supply chain
