Kimoa, the sports-inspired eyewear and apparel brand created by Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso, has been acquired by Revolution Brands International. Under the terms of the agreement, Alonso will retain a 25 percent interest in Kimoa. The two-time Formula 1 champion will also continue to serve as the global ambassador for the brand.
Kimoa, based in Madrid, offers a wide selection of sustainable eyewear, sportswear, streetwear and accessories, reflecting the racing, skateboarding, surf/watersports, skiing/snowboarding worlds and more. The brand uses organic and recycled materials in its garments, produced in Spain and Portugal.
Revolution Brands, headquartered in Miami, is a global designer, manufacturer, marketer and distributor of recreational electric vehicles, lifestyle products and mobile connectivity accessories. Backed by SOL Global Investments Corp, it operates as the parent company for a large portfolio of brands across its core segments, including SimplyEV, Simply by Clik, and now also Kimoa.
