Fila Korea turned around to a net profit of 20,984 billion Korean won (€15.3m-$18.9m) in the third quarter ended Sept. 30 from a loss of KRW 8,346 billion in the same period a year ago. Revenues increased by 6 percent to KRW189,347 billion (€137.8m-$169.7m), but the gross margin declined slightly to 45.2 percent and operating income fell by 9 percent to KRW20,864 billion (€15.2m-$18.7m). Acushnet, which is partly owned by Fila Korea, turned in a 9 percent sales increase to $344.4 million during the quarter, generating an operating margin of 6.4 percent, 2.4 percentage points higher than a year ago.
