Fila Korea's consolidated operating income improved by 36 percent to 29.6 billion Korean won (€21.31m-$29.00m) in the first quarter as the company's revenues rose by 17 percent to KRW 199.3 billion (€143.69m-$195.54m). Fila's athletic sales around the world increased by 9 percent to KRW 81.7 billion (€58.93m-$80.19m) during the quarter. Golf sales jumped by 17 percent to KRW 9.96 billion (€7.18m-$9.78m) and Outdoor sales were up by 17 percent also to KRW 13.9 billion (€10.03m-$13.65m). The Acushnet subsidiary, which manages the Titleist and FootJoy brands, had 3.5 percent lower sales of $412.7 million and 29 percent lower operating income of $34.8 million because of the cold and wet weather in the U.S.
