Black Friday, it seems, has augured better than the second quarter for Deporvillage, which has raised its projections for current-year annual sales to €157 million, according to CMDsport. This would be just shy of the record haul of 2021: €160 million.

The week-long pre-Christmas promotion brought in more than 86,000 orders, worth some €9 million, and the website registered 2.3 million visits (whether these are visitors or hits is unclear). Black Friday itself brought in 21,000 orders worth €2.4 million. The best-selling items – shoes and electronics – belonged to the cycling and mountain sports categories.

Though satisfied with the results, sales director Alex Reina told CMDsport that the Spanish e-tailer remains “cautious because of the great uncertainties that exist.”
