After a weak first half in which premium brand Fila suffered from zero-Covid closures in China, retail sales grew in the low teens year-on-year in the third quarter. Anta Sports, which co-owns the brand in China through a joint venture with Fila Korea, said in an update that Fila outperformed its core Anta brand, which improved in the mid-single digits in the third quarter. Retail sales of Anta’s Descente and Kolon Sport were up 40 to 45 percent in the period compared with the same period in 2021. The results include both online and brick-and-mortar sales through Anta’s own retail network and franchisees.
