Emerald Holding Inc., the largest US-based producer of B2B trade shows, reported second-quarter revenue of $105.5 million, up 22.7 percent year-over-year. While most of the increase came from acquisitions, organic revenues from the company’s sporting goods, outdoor and lifestyle-focused trade shows such as Outdoor Retailer and Surf Expo remained broadly stable.
Organic revenue for Q2 totaled $80.2 million, rising just 0.4 percent from the same quarter last year. Within the Connections segment – which includes trade shows and live events – organic revenue increased 1.7 percent to $70.1 million, driven by recurring revenues. In contrast, the All Other category, which includes content and commerce businesses, fell 8.2 percent to $10.1 million, reflecting a decline in content-related revenue.
